Talia Seidman Foundation Book Fair at A Child's World Newtown

Dear ACW Parents:

You have always been very supportive of our work through the Talia Seidman Foundation, a public charity in honor of our daughter Talia, who passed away after a 2 year struggle with brain cancer. The original mission of the foundation was to bring school to home bound children through video conferencing technology. Technical advances in video technology through smart devices, web meetings, skype and others have reduced the need for our services in this area. We are very proud of the work we have done and the children we have helped around the country by our innovation some 14 years ago.

Now we are seeking to directly help children facing  life threatening illness in other ways and are doing so on a request for need basis. We have recently honored a request to begin a library for children, pre-school through 5th grade, by the social services department at the SMS Cardial Glennon Children's Medical Center, in St. Louis. You can see information about them at the bottom of this letter.

Because of the unique relationship we have with Scholastic Books we are setting up an additional book fair at our A Child's World location in Newtown. The fair will run this coming week.If you have a chance please stop by. The Talia Seidman Foundation will purchase 60 books to begin the library which will be matched by Scholastic Books.
