What is Living Learning?
Your child will learn a number of important lessons during their time in a child care program. Some of these lessons will involve social norms and expectations, but others will focus on providing skills that will be useful throughout elementary school and beyond. We start by focusing on each child. It is important to recognize each student for their unique personality traits, strengths, and hobbies. That is why we start each school year by learning more about each individual student. Allowing students to share the things they find cool, interesting, and exciting will give them an opportunity to show off their personality and start building a positive association with being in daycare and spending time with peers. After learning about each child’s identity, we find that students have a better understanding of the importance of being kind, respectful, and helpful to one another.
We then cover the importance of school and how to pursue your dreams. Once children understand the importance of showing off their personalities, they can then move on to the importance of having a good education. Our instructors teach students about the many wonderful and exciting lessons they will learn this year as well as what they can expect to learn in the future. We also help children build an association between doing well in school and being able to follow their dreams when they grow up.
We spend the rest of the year learning a variety of lessons. Learning about the benefits of participating in school prepares children to start on their academic adventure! Our pre-kindergarten students spend the rest of the year discovering a number of new and exciting lessons about the world. We study topics such as biology, history, geography, science, and much more.
